Join us on Saturday, February 14th, at 10 AM for a family friendly backyard time of fellowship, cookie decorating, prophetic activation and worship followed by an outreach in Kailua.
Meet at: 419 Wanaao Rd Kailua Parking on Kakahiaka St.
We will be baking and providing cookies for people to decorate. A fun activity for children too! Our heart is to invite you to bring cookies you’ve baked or purchased (other sweets are great too) and we will create bags together with inserts that contain scripture. These bags will then be handed out throughout Kailua by you with your families or friends in groups as a way to bless people in our community.
Goal: Bring 30-50 cookies to exchange so we can create a good amount of bags to hand out as well as some to send you off with to enjoy too!
In addition to cookies, we will have a watercolor station. We will be filling out little note cards with art to tie around the bags with prophetic words of encouragement. We’d love to see the children activated in this, even if they don’t know how to write an adult can help them.
When we go out after we spend some time worshiping, decorating and getting to know one another, we’d love for you to lean on the Holy Spirit for whom to give these bags of cookies to and how God would like to meet them that day. It will be a great opportunity to engage children in this part as well, teaching them to pray and listen to the Lord’s leading. Maybe the people we encounter are in need of healing or maybe an ear to listen, maybe they just need to be highlighted and seen and know that they have a Father who loves them, or maybe they are ready to give their lives to Jesus. Holy Spirit knows, and I pray that we can all be sensitive to what He would like to do through us as his hands and feet that day.
